Only because he was presiding during a war. I think he'll be less popular than Nixon in 5 years.

Let's hope he doesn't forget to show up for his resignation.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

Actually, it was very good timing. Nobody's paying attention to this in August.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

President Bush today praised Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales, whose tenure has been marred by accusations of perjury before Congress, as “a man of integrity, decency and principle.”
Those have ceased to function as English words, since when they are used in the public sphere, they are almost used of someone who is the opposite of what those words once denoted.

Gonzales was a worthless little weasel, even among lawyers (which is saying something). What he needs is 20 years in a maximum security prison in the company of a 300lb cell mate called "Bubbles".

Camino saves passwords in the Mac OS X Keychain, while Firefox stores passwords in its own proprietary database, and there is currently no way to import these.

Buh-bye Gonzo. I hope you eventually find yourself in a maximum security prison.

I've read that there are rumors that Chertoff is going to replace him.

watching the replacement process is gonna be fun, Bush has to get someone in there who will play ball with his policies and not some crusader for the law who will dive into the Bushes looking for law breakers. The savior of New Orleans is a good candidate, he's already playing ball and he hasn't got his medal for handling Katrina yet.

Well, I think it's disgusting that you can't just give up visiting the thousands of porn sites you are a registered member of.
