Need A Family Truckster... advice please

I'm selling the truck and getting a family mobile... any ideas? Our families all have suburbans/yukons (Chevy/GMC), but we want to consider other options even though the new flex-fuel/active fuel management they are adding to those beast of a vehicle help a little.

I don't want a station wagon, and am very scared of minivans, but I want something that will help tote around the tikes.
