    Either way, won't you have to buy a new OS? Surely you can't load your current version of XP onto a new computer?

      Right. He will need to buy a new operating system if he orders the Dell, but he can choose between XP or Vista on Dell's site. Pretty soon Dell will probably stop offering XP altogether, but it hasn't yet on the XPS model I was looking at.

            Buy an iMac. It's cheaper and better. And you can install Windows on it if you need to.

            That Dell computer is a ripoff. It doesn't even have built in WiFi.
