Fascinating we are supposed to know what you are going on about. I didn't know I was supposed to share a telepathic link with the poster known as Whoha.

I saw about 75 percent of the debate tonight, and I thought it was lively and engaging. I love the idea of ordinary people submitting direct questions to candidates through video.

After seeing the debate, it seems that Joe Biden has the most concrete plan in how to get out of the mess in Iraq. Other candidates who had the chance to answer the relevant question seemed to just offer more empty promises (especially Kuicinich's implausible proposal to withdraw troops in only six months; Biden pointed out that that would be logistically unrealistic).

So on that point, Biden has won more support from me. But I need to do more research on the candidates, because IIRC, Biden was not one of candidates to have a chance to reply to the question concerning gays and lesbians. I need to see what his position is on that, among other issues as well, such as health care.

Oh, and one more thing, Gravel pretty much shot himself in the foot tonight, IMO when he made his statement of Vietnam and Iraq war veterans dying in vain. Talk about insulting most of mainstream America in one statement!

Probably because Romney has been pretty vocal in his attacks against the democratic candidates lately. He's probably not getting enough iron in his diet now that the press is watching him so closely.

Didn't watch it yet, I'll watch it on YouTube at some point. My assumption is that, despite the possibilities, it will just turn out to be CNN picking the questions they would have asked anyway, so I'm not all the enthusiastic about it. Does that seem to be the case?

They had about 2,000 questions to choose from, and from that pool, they narrowed it down to 50 final choices.

I have to think Fox News chose the most stupid Dem voters they could find for the segment on now. I refuse to believe the opposition is so stupid. It's to disheartening otherwise. They were interviewing a focus group about the Dem youtube debate in a segment for Hannity and Colmes. It's all Obama is so dreamy and who cares if he has no policy experience?

After seeing the debate, it seems that Joe Biden...
...is a complete dumbass. He pretty much insulted the whole state of Tennessee with that snide remark about the accents of the guys in one of the You Tube questions. Perhaps he didn't understand he was in South Carolina?

I like how they held the debate at The Citadel. The Justice Department installed administration of my beloved alma mater never fails to sell out the cadets whenever they get a chance. Bush and other Republicans have been there to make all kinds of policy speeches/announcements several times, but with one difference. They do it when the cadets are there.

Why would they visit during summer break when the cadets are not there? So they can get all the trappings of "we love the military" without being hissed of the stage. I can't stress how much military types do not like liberals in general, and democrats especially. The Citadel and Charleston in general is not a democrat friendly place.

Nice PR stunt. Maybe the Republicans can hold a debate at the NAACP HQ during the next Eddie Murphy opening for the same effect.

This debate did nothing but clog I-526/I-26 for hours on end ( ). Though I did like when the CNN dude asked them to raise their hand if they flew a private jet to the debate today and Romney didn't raise his hand right away. When asked why he said "I flew in yesterday." The more things change the more they stay the same

He was probably just confused by the question.
