    1. Hanka Ordonowna -

    "Love will forgive your everything"

    Love will forgive you everything
She will turn your sadness into laughter
    Love so nicely explains (excuses)
    Betrayal, lie and sin
Even if you cursed her in despair
    That she's cruel and evil
    Love will forgive you everything
Because, my beloved, love is me

When you will love (someone) as strong as I (do)
So tenderly, so passionately, you know,
    endlessly, madly, bottomlessly,
    betray me, then, and sin

    (because)

    Love will forgive you everything
She will turn sadness into laughter for you
    Love explains (excuses) so nicely
    Betrayal, lie and sin
Even if you cursed her in despair
    That she's cruel and evil
    Love will forgive you everything
Because, my beloved, love is me

Even if you cursed her in despair
    That she's cruel and evil
    Love will forgive you everything
Because, my beloved, love is me

Allegedly the words were written (aninomously) by Julian Tuwin, prince of polish poets, and personally one of my favourite poets.
They sound much better in polish.

Hanka Ordonowna, who performed this song, was one of the most popular polish actresses and singers in 20's and 30's. She's spent the war in USSR, she kept looking for her husband, whom she finally found in India.
She spent some time in India, where she performed for polish army, but she was already ill, perhaps due to conditions in USSR.
She didn't come back to Poland after the war, she lived in Lebanon, where she died.

    this is the nicest version

this is version with vision, but worse

Eugeniusz Bodo (of swiss descent), perhaps the most popular polish actor, singing "Sex Appeal" song.
      He died in soviet prison.

I will translate the lyrics later on
