For me, it would have to be grilled meat. After months and months of broiled, baked or fried steaks, starting around May I can finally get a cut of meat done the proper way, over a grill with plenty of hickory chips. Not to mention pork, chicken, and all the other things that make General Ludd projectile-vomit. I love pulled pork sandwiches.
A somewhat close second is all the fresh produce such as tomatoes, berries, corn, watermelon, and fresh peaches in August. My dad picked up a watermelon from a farmer's market yesterday afternoon and I've been cutting slices off as I please ever since. It still isn't half gone. Is it just my imagination, or does watermelon actually quench thirst better than pure water? And of course the raspberries we planted early this spring are starting to yield some great fruit. The strawberries have already come and gone, but it was great to just take a stroll outside, pluck a strawberry, and pop it in my mouth still warm from the sun. There are blackberries too, but it's almost impossible to pick a perfectly-ripe blackberry. They're always either somewhat sour or turning to mush.
Other highlights will probably include women walking around in shorts and bikini tops, amusement parks opening, and pleasant weather. Unfortunately, I live on the eastern shore of MD so none of those things really apply. Low population density, no parks, and muggy weather. But I have air conditioning, and the food makes it worthwhile.
