  • Books about algorithms and data structures

    Recommend me some.

We have analysis of algorithms and data structures as a course this semester, and I'm looking for good material which is useful as either a reference or for self-study.

I know there are a lot of hardcore computer guys here on 'poly, with far more experience than I have.

    Donald Knuth's multivolume opus?

Off the record, I recommend studying from the notes you take in the class. Unless algorithms are really what you are into, nowadays you'll most likely use only simple ones or those provided in the libraries that come with your programming language.

Actually, my studies leave me no time to come back.

I'll drop by from time to time, but that's all.

Thanks for the sentiments, though, Cort.

I know we had a book for my Data Structures and Algorithms course, but I never got it, so I don't know its name.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.
