The fact that something has plot arcs and darker themes does not make it great by default.
I think TV is a waste of time. Rent movies on netflix, watch TV shows online (or through netflix) and play Rome Total War if all else fails.

The Borg should of remained within the vail of mystery so far as motive, etc. Once the captured and returned Picard that is where it should of ended. The movie sucked with them in it.Comment

DS9 should be given credit for its take on religion and the way it dared to separate itself from the same formula that the others had followed, of course there were some poor characters but also some really good ones like Garrick, the Ferengis and Odo.It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - DrosedarsComment

Surprised to see so few rating DS9 - it was easily the most mature show.
1) DS9 - great story arcs, less black and white than other shows
2) TNG - filled a vacuum for decent sci-fi, and some really great episodes.
3) Voyager - at its best, it matched TNG, it just wasn't as consistent.
4) Enterprise - sometimes fun, but overall a step backwards. Season 3 was good though.
5) TOS - in terms of influence probably number one, but in terms of quality based on today's standards, it can't be anything but last.Comment
