Objective criteria like number of top-10 hits and number one albums aren't a matter of opinion. McCartney kicks the **** out of the rest of the Beatles using those measuring sticks, which is why lame Lennon fans have to fall back on personal opinion.
    or Take your pick

Since when is being a top-10 hit a sign of quality? I'm not saying this to denigrate McCartney, BTW. He wrote a lot of amazing songs. But I'm willing to bet that more than a couple of his best songs never made it on the top-10.

Shania Twain is the artist with the most hit singles on 1 album. Has she thus created the best album to date?

She had it, but the Beatles dethroned her with "1".

Interesting and telling that a Dylan discussion would quickly become a Beatles discussion. I think Bob would like it that way.

Harrison could have, he didn't want to.

During the Beatles, Lennon trounced Paul McCartney.

How could anyone prefer Penny Lane to Strawberry Fields Forever? A Day in the Life would be yet another lame McCartney ditty without Lennon's transcendental song surrounding it.

A Magical Mystery Tour, which was LAME LAME LAME - McCartney's idea.

Lennon wrote I Am the Walrus - enough said really.

McCartney was a greater commercial success than Lennon post Beatles? Big deal. Heather Mills is more impressed about that than I ever will be.

How convenient of you not to mention Yesterday, Eleanor Rigby, Hey Jude, the Abbey Road medley or a bunch of other classic Beatles tunes written mainly by McCartney...

From the 1967 album Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, they wrote 'With A Little Help From my Friends', 'Getting Better' and one of their best 50-50 co-compositions, 'A Day in the Life'. In the song, it's easy to see how John and Paul could work as a team when they wrote; whilst John came up with the original idea for a meditation on newspaper stories and the verses, Paul came up with the famous line 'I'd love to turn you on', the orchestra transition and the middle eight section.
