They will go down first then rise. Or rise and then go down. Whichever actually happens.

              Good memory From Wiki:

Ferdinandea is a submerged volcanic island that forms part of the newly discovered underwater volcano Empedocles 30 km south of Sicily. Currently a seamount, eruptions have raised it above sea level several times before erosion has caused it to submerge again. When it last rose above sea level after erupting in 1831, a four-way dispute over its sovereignty began, which was still unresolved when it disappeared beneath the waves again in early 1832.

                By then, there won't be a U.S.

Ummm, no, this volcano is already building some hundred miles S of Hawaii. But yes, it will not be an island for 10k-ish years.

We also held a colony on the Delawere River 1638-1655. However we didn't leave a garrison big enough to defend it against the evil Dutch.

It's a joke site. By definition (as far as applicable US and Hawaii law), you can't sell land that doesn't yet exist.

I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt.
