It was quite brilliant, wasn't it? I was afraid, that the cuteness of little children will take the show and I'm glad it didn't work. There were some great performances by kids, but not very elite. Great, but not elite, in a class of its own. I liked Bessie a lot though, even though her singing wasn't the best possible, but the overall performance was really good.
Other than that, I mean come on? Entertaining, sure, but not elite talent. Paul Potts had elite talent, he was the only one who should have won and I'm glad he did, not just because he is the perfect character to win it, but also because he was the only true elite.
It's a different game to sing good, be entertaining or even sing pitch perfect and interpret songs well compared to some damn mountain moving super strong opera singing. Now that's something only few people can do. How can such a voice come from a man like Paul, or even from a man, period? So powerful, it had the power of millions of testicles behind it, armed with nuclear weapons and the badge of honourary supercitizen given by the high council.
Sure, we've seen it before. But still.. it's amateurs. He had to know he was really good, but still kind of amazing that he was so introverted, that he never really went for it with singing, because he would have gotten a career earlier for sure.
Well that's it, Paul Potts for the win, justice has prevailed.
