  • Roger Waters in concert

I went to see it a couple of weeks ago: great show if you're a Pink Floyd fan. I recommend it.

Likewise. Saw the Chicago show last week. Amusing that it takes 11 musicians to pull it off. But an excellent show all the same.

First half -- some rarities that were great to hear, and a lot more political POV than I expected (mostly humanist Bush-bashing, which the crowd loved).
Intermission -- I loved the fact that there was an intermission!!!!
Second half -- A celebration of the 30th (?) anniversary of Dark Side of the Moon (and, of course, the digital surround sound remix now available)

The guitarist singing Gilmour's parts was spot on. The visuals were not bombastic, but very well thought-out and executed. I rarely go to concerts anymore, but this was a lot of fun.

The one thing i had a problem with was the guy who sang Money. He sounded like a poor cover band's singer.
And liked that Waters did Wish you were here himself. Great tribute.

I like the dueling guitars in Comfortably Numb - Snowy White and some guy named Doyle Bramhall I think. They start on a platform above the rest of the band on either side and they slowly walk toward the middle as they take turns doing parts of the guitar solo. Finally they meet in the middle as the solo duet finishes. Snowy White is smooooth...

'On the run' was bloody awesome............

The projections were hypnotizing, while the surround sound footsteps, laughter and vehicle noises were literally out of this world!!!!

Let your every day be full of joy, love the child that holds your hand, let your wife delight in your embrace, for these alone are the concerns of humanity.

It isn't. It's really a shame Syd cracked up; the loss of his songwriting skills turned a previously interesting band into a ****ing snoozefest...

I'm not sure how many "I've got a bike, you can ride it if you like" type songs I could have endured.

I didn't like everything post-Barrett either, especially The Wall, but harsh to call stuff like Meddle, Dark Side and WYWH a snooze-fest.

Arnold Layne and See Emily Play are better than anything Pink Floyd produced after Syd left the band, save for parts of Dark Side of the Moon. Thank god Alan Parsons was around to force Waters and company to produce actual songs for that album instead of twenty-minute long ****fests...

I saw Roger Waters in concert about 15 years ago. He must be getting pretty old.

I must say that was one of the best nights of my life. I love is stuff.
