    Finally, the girls are taking over

    Oh yes. Seems like us boys have been slacking off lately, we're number 5 in suicides for boys aged 15-24. I've boasted that we're first, but it isn't so.

    But now, the girls are stepping and and picking up the pieces, ranking second in the world. So I figure together we can join hands, boys and girls, and be #1!!!

    Hmm, unusual numbers.

    The norm is that three times more girls than boys attempt suicide.
    Three times more boys that girls successfully commit suicide.

    Which shows we're nine times better at it than they are.

      Well, I think part of the problem is that it doesn't really work as an attention grabber in here anymore.

      IF you want attention, or a cry of help, don't try suicide and fail. You know, everyone knows at least ONE person intimately that has offed themselves, so when someone fails, it's like what ever, you didn't even really try or you are so freaking stupid that you failed. You know, this is how you do it, it isn't that difficult, so next time make sure you succeed, douchebag.

      You know if someone fails and goes to school, no one will feel sympathy for you. On the contrary, you're the loser who failed in suicide, which means you're a loser. You're not even a nutcase, like the kid that bites everyone. You're just a loser.

      So people tend to succeed.

          Yeah. Well that isn't what everyone wants, but the ones who want, I think in here they have a greater percentage in actually offing themselves, since they are to be percieved as losers. Not even freaks, just losers.

              I had a friend that shot himself when he turned 30. Thought he had gotten old. Amazing. It was amazing to me back then, it's remained amazing to be over the years. Actually, it's gotten more amazing.

                Eh, ok

                Well, the point is also, that the society doesn't really care for its members. Somehow socialist leftie weirdos think it does. It can not, it's an entity, it's not something real. It's a concept. As much as you can't have war on drugs, you can't have society loving its members.

                So I think we're just not asking the right questions or even if we do, we'll just forget about it in few weeks. But we've been constant front runners in this game for YEARS. As long as I remember.

                It just tells me that young people are not healthy in here. We're supposedly a rich country, so why are our young ones killing themselves so much? There are multiple problems, the root cause is not media or video games. Why so many decide to end their lives at young age? It's a question worth thinking, apparently something we don't do. The kids were broken I see, hmm, so that's jsuit what happens here more than in other places, the kids break here sometimes yes.... and video games.

                It's BS, that's what it is. A lot of people are sick, clearly not enough attention is being paid into it, our youngest members are the sickest as well. Not good. Must do something, if we want a future.

                  Sloww, it is, isn't it? Do you ever think that you outlived your friend? I do sometimes, it IS amazing. And then you think how young they actually were. I mean I'm still young, so if I figure wow, he was really young, well ... I guess it'll get more amazing as time goes by.

                  It's weird, because in some dimension the friend is still the same age as you are. But since they stopped living some years back, they always remain THAT age. And in these cases as I'm sure with being 30, you know, you kind of wonder what they'd be like now, with more years in them, older and stuff. How would they look etc. It's weird.

                    I have many friends I've outlived.

                    Minds get hurt like bodies. This is just my opinion, but treating effectively would seem a lot harder.
                    A doctor that sets a bone or corrects an organ does a wonderful thing, but doctors can see these things.
                    With a mind, you might see a line on a graph that's the stimulation caused by thought processes. You can see the thought. You can see what generates the thought.

                    I don't really know what can we done about a weak mind.

                        Yes, my experiences (such as they are) have borne this out.

                          So who's currently number one ? I'm assuming middle aged Japanese males since it's still culturally prevalent?
