When is it supposed to happen?

The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

China recently decided that women have an equal lack of right to protest.

Most Asian emancipation for women came from Western influences. Japan had equal rights for women written into its constitution by America. Communism brought women into the workforce, military, and government in China. However, because it is seen a Western influence it's in decline now, under an argument in favor of "traditional" values, which is total BS.

You should examine the 3 foot thick glass celing in Asian countries.

One very good thing about India, IMO, is that women never had to fight for their rights - the constitution makers were foresighted and enlightened enough, at the time of independence, to simply give them those rights, without even being asked.

A curious effect this has had is that it's been a quiet revolution in India, without the noise and fuss and disruption feminism caused in the countries of its origin.

India became independent like 50 years ago, right?

In 1947. So it'll be 60 years this August.

I'm quite glad that equal rights were given like that. Saved us the nuisance of feminism.

That's interesting. I don't know much about women's rights in India, so I did a quick Google search, and these are my first three hits:

This isn't a scientific search by any means, but it appears from this that while there is de jure equality, there doesn't seem to be de facto parity. Kinda like... everywhere else.

                          Ah! Women are always complaining!

New Zealand brought the world Emancipation. Hence, why I left NZ.

Submissive girls are better, things just work really well. Is it any co-incidence divorce went up when women got more power (complain without getting hit)?

China, all of South East Asia, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, no, none are slaves.

Japan on the other hand.. I really feel angry for how Japanese men treat their women. The women seem to like it, but somehow I just think they're brainwashed / treated this way their entire life, so they think its okay.
