Cigarette Smoking. WHY Did I Decide To Guesstimate This Fact?

    I knew a guy in college who decided to take up smoking. One day he literally said "I think I'll take up smoking." Just out of the blue like that. I was a smoker at the time and questioned his sanity, but he went right ahead, bought cigs, and started smoking.

    He got into it, too, rolling his own and whatnot. He was rather odd. He was the type of guy who would convert to things and really get hooked. Catholicism was the other thing, though he always had trouble with that whole "no sex before marriage" thing, so I always had hope for him

          Really? The only cigs I ever bought in Canada were at the duty free shop just across the border... a carton of Dunhills (pure tar in a box!), and they were 20 a pack.

          That carton was brutal. But I'd bought it, so I was damned if I wasn't gonna smoke it.

            Is Dunhill a Cdn brand?

            Our domestic smokes come in small packs (20) large packs (25) and King Size (20 - longer).

                I've never smoked one. I've been smoking native smokes for the past 5 years (no tax - $2 a pack). Some find them harsh but I never understood the "taste" argument. I smoke for the nicotene.

                            smoking is a nasty habit, yes it is, but so is sex, but i dont see alot of folks lining up to take a patch for that
