In the north German city of Rostock, close to the G8 summit location of Heiligendamm, protesters of globalization have clashed with local police. Many injuries have been reported.
It seems the international movement for violence against the system (to exlude them from peaceful globalization criticism) is totally getting out of hand. 300 police have been reported injured, no figures yet for participants of the demonstrations, though after use ofr tear gas many have been reported to attend public medical service.
So while this hasn't reached Genoa level, yet, it is certainly getting out of hand. Everyone keep in mind this is radical/extremist people as opposed to the majority of peaceful protesters who fled the scene when 2,000 started attacking the police, a gigantic figure compared to the May day demonstrations in Berlin every year.
