The trick isn't to break some eggs to make an omelette, it's convincing the eggs to break themselves in order to aspire to omelettehood.

DHS was doing its job and makes sure no one on the no fly list can get a plane into this country. i am so sick and tired of all the DHS bad mouthing going on here. oh my god someone got into the country with a disease and might have infected 10 people.guess how many people died in 9/11. keep your eyes on the ball and quit bashing people who make under $35,000 a year like the border patrol agent or krazyhorse or anyone like that. it is not a cool thing to do, many people make less than that a year and are probably better people than anyone you'll ever meet. hell your 1st grade teacher who taught you grammar was probably making under $30,000 a year and yet you still remember her.

Sorry, but I get to see what DHS's trained monkeys do on a daily basis. When I was in Manila, I was especially fond of all the DHS-approved petitions we used to see on behalf of convicted American sex offenders who wanted to marry Filipinas with young kids. Singapore isn't as bad, but you still see DHS approving Indian tech worker petitions by the hundreds for "businesses" being run out of single-family homes in suburban Fort Wayne. And that's to say nothing of large-scale idiocy like current airport security (are we rerally expecting another shoe bomber? Really?) or the mother of them all -- the response to Katrina.

But let's zero in on this particular DHS primate. This guy's only job is to run biodata through a computer and, if the computer tells him to do something, do it. This is basically a half-step above what a pimply-faced teen has to do at McDonald's when he hears the fryer beeping. So TB guy comes through, the computer beeps a big red "STOP THIS GUY," and what does he do? Not stop the guy.

F*cking moron. And absolutely emblematic of his agency.

Wow! You sure read alot into my post. Chill dude.

If I was bashing anyone it was my country's officials that appear to have helped in dropping the ball on this.

There is a legit claim for medical monitoring costs. Throw in a claim for mental distress and/or "fear of TB" and there ya go.

I hope someone can pull in the trained monkey DHS hired to man the border check point into any lawsuit.

Probably not... the defendant is likely to be Teh United States of America, leading to a gummint payout.
