  • IVTV shouldn't have been shutdown

IVTV was a public access tv show from 1999-2001 created by two graduate film studies students. It kind of captured the feel of Isla Vista, CA at that time which was mostly all part all the time. Here's a link to episode #2 from 1999.

    I miss living there.

It looks like they're trying to revive IVTV.

I miss the couch burnings. I.V. tradition is that if the host of a party runs out of beer then you're supposed to steal his living room couch, drag it into the street, light it on fire, and then people take turns jumping over the burning couch. It's a fine local tradition which you can see on the film.

SCTV (Second City Television) is a better joke because it's one letter off. S is after R too, so that's like cool...and stuff.

CVTV (Chula Vista TV) would be hoot.

Kalonike: Only we women? Poor Greece!

That's horrible!! Rather than take their frustations out on someone from the athletic department, they should burn the guy's couch.
