With all of these neocons that overblow the protests that happened after Hugo turned this channel off, let's just look at the facts for a minute:

1) The channel's license expired, so the Venuzvelan government has the right to shut it down.

2) The channel was a fascist crock that deserved to be put away.

Looks like the neocons are insecure that FOX news might get shut off in the same manner. Frankly, I'm all for it.

I'm all for freedom of speech, I'm a liberal, but when you look at the facts, this channel was a THREAT to freedom of speech with all the fascist garbage it was spewing.

People instantly run to the defense of some concept without looking at the real reasons behind doing something, and this is one of those cases.

I cant defend Chavez any longer (I used to defend him), Venezuela is really becoming a dictatorship.

The advantage Chavez has is the Venezuelan military is quite leftist and shares the ideas of Chavez, in most other countries the military is right wing, had he done that in any other latin american country it would mean the beginning of the end for him.

I hate Fox News but I support their right to broadcast. That is what it means to be liberal.
