Theres been some clever/interesting people ion big brother before, sometimes it difficult to tell at the start. I think some of the girls are cunning smart at least, and theres no way of knowing at this stage who might have hidden depths because its all just superficiial conversation. You never know whats going to happen at this point, its all about the potential characters that might emerge.

Watch the live feed on e4 in the background if theres nothing else on your tv, its like a whole different program, like being down the pub in your living room while you muck about on the computer

One of the worst things about BB is its role in blurring the public and private spheres of life. It encourages the obsession with filming people, often without their consent, and even contributes to the culture of filmed abuse from happy slapping to Abu Graib.

It also encourages the cult of being famous for being famous - without actually achieving anything other than being loud on TV.
