Really? I've been broken up with by letter and I thought it was the least-painful way to do it. A text message just says "I can't be bothered to do it any other way" but a phone call or face-to-face requires a reaction, and often you don't want to react honestly in front of someone who just dumped you. A letter shows you that they've taken the time to think about your feelings, and it gives you time to get your thoughts together before you next speak to them.Originally posted by Datajack Franit
