Western culinary schools don't base their curriculum on Italian cuisine, because it's all simple fare, the equivalent of our cuisine bourgeoisie. While tasty, it is simply no match for the glories of French haute cuisine. Only someone completely ignorant of fine dining would think otherwise.

The reason I don't like French food is that it is too fancy. What is fancy food in France is just crap. After being tired of French Food I went to an "American Cafe" everything was crap. Italian food is simple and that is why I like it.

Really? Given that the only complaints you ever hear about wait times are for access to high-tech devices and given that Canada has ~50% more such devices (MRIs, CT scanners etc) per capita than France does, I find that hard to believe.

Read DD's article. Canadians are complaining about waiting for hip replacements and other surgeries, which doesn't happen in France.
