Drake should read more war nerd.

Unfortunately, this isn't a surge, just a reinforcement, and a pretty small one. And if you have to ask whether it'll work, you don't understand guerrilla war. Of course it won't work. Classic guerrilla doctrine - Hell, plain common sense - says when the occupier floods the city with troops, the guerrilla lays low. Which the Iraqis are doing. And yet people are so stupid they're already crowing that "incidents are down" since the Surge.

War Nerd advocates genocide as a smart and effective way of dealing with one's enemies. He's right, but I don't see how more genocide would make "the world a much better place"...

Why do you read War Nerd? He's a little ***** like me who never served in the military, not a battle-tested stud like you and MTG. You must find him hardly worth listening to, as he doesn't have the absolute moral authority possessed by you and your fellow veterans...

That's IF the abu Cheney clan of the desert oil wells is dumb enough to really do it, really send in 250,000 troops to take Iraq. Militarily it'll be a joke. You could do it with a battalion of SAS. Those Iraqi soldiers were surrendering to camera crews. That's the easy part.

Exile is set in Russia, but the War Nerd isn't, "he" if he exists just writes for them. What brought the Exile guys to Russia I don't know.

Uh............. Actually he seems to have some real problems. It's good that he's found an outlet in his writing, otherwise I could see this guy turning into another Cho.

OTOH someone should make a movie about him.
