  • Which weekend update host did you like best?

Dennis Miller for me. But I liked Norm McDonald. I miss Frank Stallone jokes.

I did not like Colin Quinn at all. In fact, he's one of my least favourite SNL actors.

I was too young for Chevy Chase, but looking at old clips, I don't think I was missing much. Perhaps I was the wrong generation for that comedy. Jane Curtin I liked somewhat though.

anyways I had to look this up on wiki to get the poll right. I'm not including newsbreak or saturday night news. deal with it.

Tina Fey was pretty good, but I feel the show started going downhill during this time. Not as bad as early 80's, but still bad.

            Norm MacDonald, without question.

For the record, I'm 24. My earliest SNL memories are Late Night with Kevin Nealon.

Jimmy Fallon sucked, but not as much as Colin Quinn.

Dennis Miller, without question. MacDonald is the only one who even comes close.

                  Kevin Nealon.

I just didn't like SNL much any more after most of the group left and only Spade/McDonald/Token Black Guy remained.

I give Chevy Chase a lot of credit for originating the role, and I liked him a lot. But Dennis Miller took it to a new level.

I haven't watched SNL much the past 15 years or so. I saw Norm McDonald a few times. he was OK I guess. I saw the chick who's at the desk now a few weeks back and she had some game.

                    but definitely, Dennis Miller.

Dennis Miller, followed by Norm Macdonald.

But the best Weekend Updates were those of the Jane Curtain years.

Norm MacDonald. It was a crime when he lost the job. I was very upset at the time.

Miller was great, but MacDonald ALWAYS had me laughing, which I can't say about Miller.

Exactly. Though Belushi's increasingly-incoherent editorial replies were also priceless, and Gilda Radner was doing both Emily Litella and Roseanne Roseanadana. Plus occasional Bill Murray stints. Golden years, I tell ya.
