BUMP! Cheers for the tips guys, I've been practicing the local language and I'm all about ready to hit the local university psychology class night out tonight. Does anyone have any other suggestions of what's fun to do around here?

Considering the area where you're going, be sure you don't miss out those:
The Iguazu-Falls, right at the Argentinian-Brazilian border - stunning.
"The world is too small in Vorarlberg". Austrian ex-vice-chancellor Hubert Gorbach in a letter to Alistar [sic] Darling, looking for a job...
"Let me break this down for you, fresh from algebra II. A 95% chance to win 5 times means a (95*5) chance to win = 475% chance to win." Wiglaf, Court jester or hayseed, you judge.

I would recommend you refer to a travel book rather than Apolyton Off-Topic. Unless you are wanting to boost your post count of course.
I've got travel guides, but I refer to the OT forum as well because I've got great travel advice here before. I like to hear first hand from people that might have been there. Have post counts started counting again in the OT forums? I didn't know that.
Yes, the Iguaza Falls is definitely something I'm planning to check out, possibly next week. It looks awesome.
For others who might be going to Brazil in the near future, I recommend the city of Florianopolis and it's surrroundings in the state of Santa Catarina. Beautiful beaches, beautiful girls, great surfing conditions, and not too busy either.

5 Takes, a Travel Channel show is in Brazil right now. The other night they traveled up the Amazon to Manaus, Brazil and it seemed pretty neat. It was the rubber capitol of the world at one time and had some awesome architecture, a nice view of the river, a neat looking fish market, and is the birth place of Capoeria (the Blanka style dance/fighting).
