It seems perfectly logical that if flight 93 was indeed shotdown, some people would try to keep it a secret, fearful of criticism, and wanting to perpetuate a hero story.

having said that, IIRC I read a perfectly reasonable explanation for the way flight 93 broke up.



I do find it odd that nothing ever came out of the Anthrax scare.

9/11 could have been limited in its impact had our "leaders" kept us informed about the threat, like AQ has used or planned to use airliners as flying bombs to hit skyscrapers. I seriously doubt any of those planes would have found their targets had the passengers known that information.

Had the administration warned people that AQ might crash planes into buildings, people would have just said "you've been reading too much Tom Clancy."

If Tom Clancy hadn't written that book, however, people might have taken the government seriously if they had warned that Al Qaeda was planning to fly airliners into buildings. As you can see, 9/11 was all Tom Clancy's fault.
