And to clarify for everyone -- whether I go to Springfield, or Washington DC, I will be working for the same employer, for the same research project. It's just that the specific tasks and type of work will be different in one location, compared to the other.
The director has stated that the salary range is $29,000 to $38,000 a year. Now, I'm thinking this range is open for two reasons -- one, is my actual salary will be contingent on my actual previous experience, and two, it can be adjusted for cost of living.
