  • Wikipedia to axe spoiler warnings

The arguments are that spoiler warnings are unencyclopedic and a form of censorship. Thoughts?

To me, this looks like a big mistake. What if I want to look up a novel I haven't read or a film I haven't seen? Wikipedia is almost always the place to look. But not any more, apparently.

I agree. They didn't detract from the articles really, why axe them?

i generally don't look up movies I haven't seen. I have looked up books I was curious about, but have no intention of reading (1984, brave new world)

Wiki is great, but makes really retarded decisions frequently.

I disagree. Wikipedia is plagued by hidden agendas, abuse of power and people who don't really have a clue other than to copy/paste texts. Moreover, the homogenising effect it has on information on the internet is scary.
