Why is there a 2 thread limit?

...obviously to prevent blatant spamming, but isn't there a better way to handle that? What about raising the limit to 3 or 4? Or gietting rid of the limit entirely, and allowing the mods to decide whether or not a poster is spamming the forums with new threads.

It's to make sure people don't create lots of spammy threads. Of course there is nothing to stop you creating one thread per day and then in two weeks time responding to all the comments in each of your own threads..

I think we need to start a takeover of Community. Community occupies valuable space, better utilized by OT and Civ 2 interests.

What about a rating system that works something like this:

All users* start off with a neutral rating, and the ability to create X threads a day. The number of threads you can post daily increases or decreases with your rating. Whimsical mob rule




*Except AAHZ, who will automatically be restricted to 0 daily threads.

I agree. Except for the Civ 2 part. Although while we're getting rid of useless forums, let's consolidate Civ4, GalCiv, CivIII, RoN, CtP, AC, MoO, and AltCiv into one forum: Games, Misc. Too much clutter getting in the way of the OT.
