Could be '28 Days Before', a romantic comedy where everyone ends up zombies.

Nevermind, they all end up that way.

28 Months later is on it's way.

And the movie sucked. They had 75 soldiers hanging out at the train station but couldn't have 2(or even one) guards for the infected lady?
Today, you are the waves of the Pacific, pushing ever eastward. You are the sequoias rising from the Sierra Nevada, defiant and enduring.

Why send 15k brittish back to brittain from french refugee camps, to live in apartment buildings under such absurdly costly security measures?

They had no sort of industry, wouldn't it be more cost effective and much, much, MUCH safer to just keep them the hell out of brittain and not bring them back?

As mentioned earlier it really irked me that the dad played such a huge role once he became infected. Granted it's not as bad as the smart zombie from land of the dead, but it still very bothersome. Also when the helicopter pilot (who did time at Oz before joining the military) chopped up the field of zombies with the helicopter blade that was unrealistic and just kinda dumb. Also how could the wounded medical officer outrun all of the infected? I really disliked those three things, but otherwise it's was a great movie.

                    Horror: A
Opening scene was quite scary. Seeing all of the dead bodies in the subway was also scary.

                    Apocolyptic imagery: A++
Best depiction of a zombie apocolypse on film ever!

                    Realism: B-
                    See problems mentioned above

                    Cliches: B
Why is every horror movie filled with self centered stupid people? The girl could have at least said, hey I think my brother might kinda have the virus but he seems ok. Instead of no we're fine take us to safety *****.

                    Plot: B+
                    Solid, but not overwhelming.

                    Realism: C+
                    See my comments above.

                    Acting: A-
No real standouts, but bothing bad.

                    Overall: A-
(Not an average) Super great movie with a couple of issues.

Btw, the AMerican military should have had an off shore command post with nuclear weapons aimed at the resettlement zone. As Cpl. Hicks said in Aliens. "It's the only way to be sure."

They should of never repopulated brittain at all, but still had said nukes pointed at brittain, and launched if as much as a bird took off from the british isles ><.

Another realism issue.... why was the urban area not COMPLTLEY torched? As society collapses, fires break out and with no one to stop them..... i'd think any major city under such circumstances would be half ash, if not more, by the time the fires finally burned themselves out.

So who is to blame, in the end?

The dad, for getting himself sick? She was quaranteed(sp) for a reason!

                      The kids for sneaking off?

The American military for all around, unbelievably high levels of incompetance? So many INDIVIDUAL small things, and big things went wrong because of the military and if any one of them did not happen, it would of all been fine. No guards on the quaranteed mother. The civilians were not properly locked away from the few zombies, and they were not contained someplace they could not break out of once they were infected... I mean come on, a chain on the door? They allowed traffic off of brittain once the infection happened... they should of shot down ANYTHING which came out of brittain, no questions asked. I'd really blame the military, in the end.

A friend suggested the woman from the BEGINING of the movie was responsible! The woman who opened the slots on the house, letting the zombies see they were inside could be to blame! Or perhaps the woman who allowed the child inside the house in the first place.... if the zombies never attacked, the people inside would of either starved to death before the zombies did, or possibly die in some other way, or, survive without becoming infected.

The American military has saved the world so many times and with such consistancy that they should get a pass on blame for losing it to the zombies once in a while.

Obliviously the US military wanted more guards on her, but the democrats cut funding.

If the Brits can hold out long enough, they can blame this failure on whatever Democrat wins the Presidency in '08.

Frankly it was pretty dumb and utterly, totally predictable - apart from the most massively stupid bit where the medic decides to take them into the underground!!!

Totally the weirdest bit though was the fact that most of it was filmed in Canary Wharf where I worked for several years standing on the very same platform the family was reunited etc, seeing all my places of work etc - actually they didn't really do it justice, as there are some great locations there that they didn't use. But it was a real deja vu experience almost as though I was part of the movie.

The surreal bit however was the snipers on the roofs...

I **** you not, I worked for a while for CSFB overlooking Canary wharf DLR station and we had some gung ho yank over from the NY office, and he's looking out of the window deep in though and suddenly he says words of the effect of "You see all those people on the platform there, if I had me an assault rifle I could take them all out from up here..." And then he's like back to business as if nothing had happened...

Something like that, it was almost 10 years ago. But seeing those snipers on the roofs...
Is it me, or is MOBIUS a horrible person?
