He just reads what they put in front of him... [next post]
...But I see his eyes moving during the speeches he gives on TV!
Sava, Bush's moving eyes are following the teleprompter. He does read what they put in front of him in those situations. But other than that, I find it hard to believe Dubya actually does much reading.
It's probably more accurate to say that he does what "they" tell him.

I'm a Dem. I hang around with Dems. I just came from a union conference, which were mainly Dems. I hear constant complaints about Bush, his abilities and his policies. I've never heard a single person claim that Bush had prior knowledge of the 9/11 attacks.
I met my new congressman (who defeated a Republican tainted by a sex scandal) yesterday at the opening of a new office of his. I gave him 9/11 books and DVDs. I was pleasantly surprised to hear him tell me that he already had a copy of Dr. Griffin's The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions and told me he was already aware of the main issues involving 9/11. He was not aware of the White House taking Cipro prior to the anthrax attacks and thanked me for that info. More information about Griffin's book here.
When I went to the office of Rep. Murtha, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that virtually the entire staff were 9/11 truth believers. One of them expressed disappointment that I had brought only one copy of "Loose Change" with me, and invited me to distribute my material at a Democratic dinner that night. After I told him I couldn't stay for the dinner, he said he would distribute the material himself.
I gave a copy of the Professor Jones' "9/11 Revisited" video to a leader of my local Democratic club. She was so impressed that she arranged to have it played at one of the monthly meetings, to a positive response. You can see that video online here (it's the same video that was publicly praised by former Republican congressman Curt Weldon):

And a bunch of other yobs think Saddam was behind 9/11, many from the Republican party.
good point
Actually I saw this poll. It was from a respectable outfit (Rasmussen).
The logical fallacy Papa Bear makes is that he conflates conspiratorial involvement in 9/11 with the failure to do anything about what looked like an imminent terrorist attack (i.e. the August 6 PDB - "Bin Laden determined to strike in US").
I'd like to see the actual question, but if it was about incompetence in failing to prevent the attack the number should be near 100%
I think about 1/2 of Bill's ratings must come from people who dislike him for some reason but can't shake the magnetic attraction he has over them. Is that the case with you, Berz?
I dont watch him much anymore, but I suggest you go back and see when I last started a thread about O'Reilly. Its been a real long time...so **** off
I'm thinking that is definately the case with Berz. He obsesses over O'Reilly.
When was the last time I "obsessed" over O'Reilly? Last week? Two weeks? Dino is leading you around by the nose...
You've posted at least 4 or 5 threads on O'Reilly in the last year or so. No one else even really gives a damn (though maybe except Oerdin, but he's a bit loony as well). We all wonder why you keep listening/watching him when you just get pissed at what he said.
After all, there is usually a reason why people get the reputations they do (this reminds me of aneeshm's claiming he isn't obsessed with posting anti-Muslim/pro-Hindu threads).

Okay, I dont believe that stat but this is what Bill O'Reilly was trumpeting on his show tonight, 35% of Democrats believe Bush knew 9/11 was going to happen. The poll or study also claimed 15% of Repub voters are onboard with the Dems but O'Reilly didn't mention them.
Doesn't this depend on how the poll was worded? I mean, if it was "did Bush know there was likely to be an imminent terrorist attack on US soil?", then yes is a lot more accurate than "did Bush know terrorists would fly a plane into the WTC on 9/11?"

True True. My wife is one who thinks the admin knew about it and didn't take action. Shades of FDR and Pearl harbor and all that jazz.

Good point. Indeed if you remove "imminent," and ask the question: "Did Bush know there was likely to be a terrorist attack on US soil?", then I would vote yes.
Drogue you loser, you deleted my post. I see the apolyton double standard is in full force. I guess that is what happens though when you allow European tolerance pushers that use terms like "hate speech" to be mods. As I said in our PM, you are a nobody, which is why you are are the mod of a gaming forum trying to push your leftist ideology on everyone. What I posted was tame in comparison to what our left wing followers of the tolerance doctrine have posted.
The Rasmussen poll focuses only on Bush, it does not ask if the respondent believes Dick Cheney or other high-ranking officials had advance knowledge. The Scripps-Howard poll which I linked earlier in this thread was less ambiguous, it asked whether it was likely that "people in the federal government either assisted in the 9/11 attacks or took no action to stop the attacks because they wanted the United States to go to war in the Middle East."
EDIT: I looked at the Rasmussen poll, it did ask the respondents if they believed the CIA had advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks, and 29 percent of the respondents said yes, as compared to 22 percent saying yes to Bush having advance knowledge.

Good Lord I love her greatly, but the thought that 35-36% of Americans are as looney as my wife scares me mightily.
