      The only long lasting thing that came from the French invation of Mexico, is the unfortunate and french invented term Latin America, when it should have been Ibero-america or Hispanic America.

          California has a large Mexican population so Cinco de Mayo is a pretty big party day. The funny thing is Las Vegas also has a fairly large Mexican immigrant community but Cinco de Mayo was hardly even mentioned there this weekend. I guess it hasn't caught on with the east coast CEOs who run the big casinos.
