  • best anti-spyware and anti-virus

I have been using avast, which is a free antivirus program. i also have a little something something called counter spy though it rarely finds anything.

    was wandering

    a) if these antivirus/antispyware programs are worth any money

    and

    b) what programs if any do you people use

except MRT144, it is amazing people like him know how to breathe

simple: trash every software you are currently using and install these 4

    AVG Free Edition -grisoft.com anti-virus
    AD-Aware -lavasoft.com anti-spyware
    Spybot -http://www.safer-networking.org anti-spyware +MOAR! :awesome:
    ZoneAlarm -zonealarm.com - firewall

I personally use these ones and I'm completely satisfied
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.

Datajack's suggestions are good; also consider Kerio Personal Firewall 4 which although becoming long in the tooth is a very powerful and easily configurable firewall for 32bit windows XP/2000...

Since I have moved on to Vista I have been using Kaspersky Internet Security 6 (works well but costs $$)...
