· Wyoming was the first state in the US to offer suffrage to women. Why? They needed the women’s votes to get enough votes to become a state. Wyoming also had the first woman governor in the US, Nellie Ross in 1925 and the first female court bailiff and the first woman justice of the peace.
· Black Thunder is a Wyoming coal mine and the largest in the US. It is located very close to Wright, Wyoming.
· If you study Wyoming’s flag, you will see the buffalo has a seal on it. Why? The seal actually represents a brand, which is a custom of identifying livestock.

I am a frequent traveler in Wyoming. I love Jackson Hole (one of my fav places) and the Grand Tetons are beautiful. I worked with the Park Rangers there for a couple of summers so I got to see all the things that regular travelers miss out on. However, there is a huge chunk of the state that is filled with NOTHING. I mean, there is nothing around but prairie dogs and wind in your face. So, like most places, you take the good with the bad and enjoy it anyway.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move. - Douglas Adams

Wyoming isn't the best American State. Tennessee is. It has the third highest percentage of Americans. It has large number of volonteers in the army (hence the name the "Volonteer State").
