  • Assessing the threat: How likely is a terrorist attack where you live?

I was just thinking about to the days and months following 9/11. I remember the duct tape and plastic deals. All the talk of aerosilizing anthrax and other bio weapons. Nuke weapons on ships.

You don't hear much about this any more. Is there no chance of a bio or nuclear weapons attack anymore? How about a conventional attack? They never raise the threat level anymore. Do they still have that? Are we winning the war on terror? What's going on?

I remember they had a lot of heightened security one year on new years even in my city. But that was like 5 years ago. There seems to be no threat to my city.

But perhaps that is their plan. They will get us when we are complacent and unsuspecting.

What "duct tape and plastic deals"?

I doubt terrorists would hit dc.

Fairview a small rural community in the Sanpete Valley of central Utah. The Sanpete Valley is one of the major producers of turkeys in the US. Turkeys are an integral part of Thanksgiving dinner. I think it's very clear how much danger this area is in...

I'm not sure how high it is really. I imagine if terrorist really wanted to attack a location in California they'd try to attack LA or San Francisco first since those places have higher international profiles. They have tried to attack LAX before. Then again San Diego is right on the border so it would be easier to reach plus it is the headquarters for the US Pacific fleet and we have a lot of military installations here so maybe it would make a nice symbolic target.

              London? Nah, who'd attack London?

I'd assume that any place I'm in would be in danger.

I guess that would depend on if the terriost was from polly for us. If not pretty much slim to none if they are gunning for san antonio, then again we dont live in san antonio either, if its the state of texas medium i would suppose since the state is so big

Seattle is about as likely as many other cities. Im less worried about terrorism and more worried about taxorism

Given that the London bombers on 7/7 came from around half a mile away, quite likely if they get desperate. Add to that our airport's flgith path is right over the city centre and the main arterial route into the city centre is directly under the train station we;re a sitting target if there's any terrorists left.
