    Solar, wind and geothermal are all too difficult. They can play at best niche roles, like Oerdin said.

    The real answer is one we've had all along: nuclear. New designs are "virtually" foolproof (of course they'll still be rigorously inspected and maintained due to all the nuke fearmongering).

    The other real answer is reducing waste, by improving the power grid and conservation on the home and industrial consumer's part.

      and it does get cloudy in Nevada. sometimes it won't rain, but it does get cloudy. I think we have about 330 days of sunshine a year though. I heard this little bit of trivia somewhere.
