  • Happy Liberation Day!

To all Italians - Happy Liberation Day.

I'm leaving for Rome on Friday. This is my first trip to Italy and I am staying 10 days.. Unfortunately I planned this trip during another Italian national holiday - Labor Day (May 1)... From what I have read, everything shuts down in the city on these National HOlidays..

Just thought I would post this to wish a happy day to our Italian friends and also to see if anyone can give some advice on what to do as a tourist during a national holiday in Rome..

I've visited a lot of places, but somehow Rome (and Paris as well) have never been where I was. I might have to do something about it.
