it's all about the angles! if you just saw one picture of someone, the angle would definitely matter!

and I admit lighing does things. Especially with regards to tans. I'm going to make a thread about tans here shortly. But I ask, why is white bad? I do agree white does look bad in a bright room or outside in the sun. But in a dimly lit bedroom when you are about to do it, I don't give 2 ****s about how good a tan she has.

Camera angles can definitely impact how heavy a person looks. (So long as they have angles at least.) Same with how feminine/masculine their jawline is, how much their eyes stand out, ect. The basic "emo" pose with the picture taking from up above the head, and to one side, is a good example of all 3 perspective tricks being used.

Your picture doesn't qualify though. It's taken from off to the side, but from barely above the eyes. You'd need the camera a good bit higher, and closer in, to get the distortion.
