How about the Pasadena Freeway, with stop signs at the end of the onramps?!
It was a mess there this morning. As I was getting off, a large moving van had been trying to get on. But the Avenue 45 onramp ends in a buttonhook turn, which the long van couldn't negotiate. Cars had backed up behind it. So, it had to pull into the exiting lanes and then back out. With me blocked by the moving van and with cars backing up behind me, I kept waiting for a multicar pile up. But everything turned out well.
