  • What the Heck are We Thinking?

First of all this prolly wont affect half of you guys here as of yet, but it will later on. Ill start with this, Who the hell are we trusting are kids with? I mean riding the bus to and from school. In order these events happened and to me my kids and friends.
    1. I was parked in the driveway of our home, i was called out to go to work and was on my cell with the head nurse, i couldnt hear her cause their was a bus parked in the street blocking my driveway, i was talking over the bus into the cell wheni hear "MAAM can u shut the **** up? Im trying to talk to a parent here. I ws jolted into reality that this came from the bus driver who was blockng my driveway. I mean who pays the taxes for this property? I do well i didnt say word i called the transportatin and reported her. The kids she drives are kids that dont use english as a first language and are in elemantery school
    2. My daughters friend was riding to school one am and two boys were able to grab her breats her butt and try to kiss her the bus driver didnt pull the bus over to stop this asualt. the girl is 12 years old. She also had her earrings ripped out of her ears. She is rying and bleeding and the driver kept on driving t school whie two boys assualt this girl
3.About 2 weeks ago I was expecting my son home from school, 1.5 has passed and he isnt home, im concerned. I call the transportation and they say i dont know where the bus is. I thought wtf my sons on that bus. 30 minutes later i fnd out after calling again the bus driver has them sitting on the side of the road cause one kid fell out of his seat horsing around with another kid. i mean all he did was fall out of his seat not like he stood up and rocked the bus. 2.5 hours later i get my kid home.
My question is Who the hel are we trusting our kids with, and shouldnt we have more choices

Very few school bus drivers are good at what they do. I had a few nightmare experiences when I was that age. I think it's probably cuz the job sucks so much, so only the worst of people are willing to do it.

The pay is not particularily attractive either.
In our school district the middle school kids ride the same bus as the high school kids. In 6th grade, at age 11, my daughter was propositioned by high school kids.

Ewwww. I don't know if I could have resisted the temptation to have her point him/them out for a "private conversation."

in two of my kids lives we dont have a choice. They have to ride the bus. parents arent allowed to pick theup during drop off hours or pick them up during pick up hours.
          But wait it gets better....
One bus driver stoped the bus, wlked to the back grabbed a student by his ollar and threw him off the bus in the middle of now where, reason to parents was the kid stood up and was distracting the driver. I can understand that but son said his ipod fell to the grown he bent over to pick it up and the driver went bezerk.
I dont know i mean we trust these people with the safety of our kids, and all of these horror stories and im sure there are more to surface, what can we do about it?
