so first he should rob someone with a knife, to get enough money to buy a small gun, and then use the small gun to rob people to save up for this.

If he were smart, he'd start with white collar crime. It's much more profitable, easier to get away with, and less risky.
armed robbery is for the plebs
white collar crime isnt fast enough.

i suggest building a moat gaurded with dinosaurs. secondly you need some kind of scalding oil device. I suggest using canola oil because it can be used to fry chicken.
finally the most important part is having a mechanical mole type machine that you can use to escape from the fortification if need be.

Hmm dinosaurs, I saw something about this on animal planet, prehistoric park, now perhaps if I email them I can acquire one of their more vicious breeds...

Think of it like an investment. It takes time to reap the rewards. But the payoff is worth it.
thats sissy talk. we want guns to counteract sissiness.

A lot of people are focused on the gun issue, but we should recall that not all that long ago over 3,000 people were killed by folks armed with nothing more than box cutters. They didn't have guns; they had a plan.
As late as the 1930's, it was completely legal for any American citizen (no background checks required) to own submachine guns, crew-served heavy MG's, and so on, and the total number of school shootings was zero.
Society has changed significantly since then. We are far more isolated from one another now. In the 30's, people knew their neighbors, and if someone lost their job or whatever, the community helped them get by.
Nowadays, not many of us know the people next-door, and when something happens, you are expected to "deal with it".
There's a lot of folks out there that feel alone, desperate, filled with rage, and so on, and they live in a culture that glorifies violence and equates compassion with weakness. I am honestly surprised this kind of thing doesn't happen more often.
An armed citizenry that fights pitched battles is stupid. An armed citizenry that behaves like those in Afganistan or Iraq (or like in many areas of europe during WW2) will in the end succeed or die.

Last sentence is puzzling.
As far as I understand, an "armed citizenry that fights pitched battles" also "will in the end succeed or die".
I think I understand what you were trying to say but...
By the way, regarding mental health help... the article I just read made it sound like multiple people tried to get him to go to therapy and he wouldn't. There was concern, but realistically what could they do? The woman he stalked didn't press charges. He wrote odd, violent plays... ok, but he didn't actually *do* anything violent (until yesterday), so how do you have the men in white coats lock him up?
I mean, for those arguing that gun control is bad (violation of 2nd amendment! Frrrreeeeeeedom!!!!), how is forcing people into mental hospitals good?
