Have you seen it? It's pretty funny.

My favourite was Ahmed Ahmed, that dude was a riot. So hilarious man.. it brings up good points, makes you think. I think it's a good outlet for some arab americans, surely they've had it worse now than before 911 so.. but anyway, it was a pretty good show, and Ahmed Ahmed.. brilliant

Wonderful show. Each of the four comedians is better than the previous one.

I like Ahmed Ahmed's consternation when he discovered, when he googled his name, that it's shared with a middle eastern terrorist. --But the terrorist also has his own problems; he shares his name with a comedian. "Come on, tell us a joke." "No, I'm not a comedian, I'm a terrorist. If you don't believe me, I'll blow myself up right now!"

I like that Arabs like to curse in English because God doesn't understand the language.

The Iranian's problems with Yahoo were great. Getting an e-mail from a friend who asked, "So where's al Qaeda's next attack going to be (ha ha)," he responds "In southwest Iceland (ha ha)" and the next day, his account's closed down. He finally gets Yahoo customer service (in Iraq) and claims, "It was a joke! I said 'ha ha.' Al Qaeda never says 'ha ha'." The service rep. sneers, "Just because you said 'ha ha' doesn't make it funny." "So--what?--now I'm getting heckled from Iraq?!"

Zkribbler, yeah a classical setup, building up for the best.

Yeah, the Iranian guy (forget his name now, pretty known anyway) was also a blast.

I think it's more interesting than just .. a show. Why? There are lots of great black comedians, and it seems to me that it's a good way to blow off some steam. So you figure the society isn't as fair to you as it is to someone else, so you make jokes about the stuff. I mean you have to let it out, that's about the only positive way I can think of, and what's more, other people can laugh at it too. So it's just a big releasing force.

So a lot of times comedy is a voice with politics in it, but not actively offering anything, mostly just discrediting stuff. But that's good. I think it's interesting, that .. well stand up is an American 'invention', it's spread through Europe and of course the world, but mostly it is a typical western culture thing in its format.

So I find it interesting, that now since arabs have taken some heat now, so they're taking the stages and audiences and laughing about it as well. But it's mostly people who have been born in the states you see in that show, so is it really arabs and middle easteners or Americans? Well, I guess it's both. But none of the less, all these cultures at the end, all these different people are coming to one stage, and that is stand up, that is what happens today, of course in western context more or less.

I think it's important and a noteworthy thing, maybe some sociologist could do a research on it. And it is meant for everyone, so I can learn from watching it as well, because most stand up comedy is observational, so you see what they feel like and some of the issues, but you don't have to feel guilty about it, you can just laugh plus you'll notice people are pretty much the same anyway, at least when brought up in the same environment.

And the last joke was also funny when he said the anthrax guy, he knew he couldn't be an arab, but he's waiting for the strike that's about love, when someone puts extacy in the water instead of anthrax. Then the music starts and he starts touching himself and dancing 'ohh they got me!'..

Anyway, pretty good show, I recommend it, even though the only crafty guy was the last guy but the rest were decent as well.

I presume those aren't the actual jokes and you just gave us your butchered versions of them because they kinda suck. Well except for the English one. That one got a mild chuckle.

Edit: After watching the video b etor posted, you must have posted the accurate version.

                        boring. not funny.
'There is a greater darkness than the one we fight. It is the darkness of the soul that has lost its way. The war we fight is not against powers and principalities, it is against chaos and despair. Greater than the death of flesh is the death of hope, the death of dreams. Against this peril we can never surrender. The future is all around us, waiting, in moments of transition, to be born in moments of revelation. No one knows the shape of that future or where it will take us. We know only that it is always born in pain.'"
