George Washington was a hero. This is not a heroic age. Heros born in non-heroic ages are just liabilities, embarrassments. When law is strong there's no need for supermen, they get in the way. See Shakespeare's "Coriolanus" for details. Or "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance."

Don't despair, though. The way things are going it might only be a couple of years before our world is plunged into chaos again and heroes are needed.
