    I agree with you about the exaggeration of the importance of the Quebec Act. I just finished reading Common Sense where Thomas Paine sets out the arguments for the colonies breaking from England. Nowhere does he mention the Quebec Act.

      It is unpossible to exaggerate the importance of anything Canadian.
