Scenario - what do you do?

The thing that would scare me the most would be getting aids sincerely, the other is just one awful night, and if the guy is really huge, maybe not being able to walk for a week, but if the huge guy has aids it would be different, I wuld really fight then.

Eh. Admittedly most people are really awful at grappling, but even a bit of training goes a long way.

Well, I go to grappling because neither situation says the other person has a weapon.

What I'm saying is that with any experience at all strength is going to play a large part in determining who gets the upper hand in a grappling match.

When I wrestled in high school the coach would put me up against the biggest new recruit during the first practice. In grade 10 I was in the 136 lb category ( ) and easily thrashed the 220 lb dude I was up against. A couple of months later I didn't have a chance against the same guy. He had the instinct to sprawl quickly, knew not to give up an arm or his head, etc. I was still a better wrestler than him, but he could simply overpower me from then on.

Skill can still play a big part when two people are closely matched in strength, but if I was up against somebody who was 6'6 and 250 lbs of muscle and a basic combat sense then I'd be done. It wouldn't even be close.

But it could be close at 6'0 and 200 of muscle and basic combat sense.

Small guys have certain advantages too. It's much more difficult to get out of certain guards with shorter guys. At the same time, it's not like their punches don't hurt and can wear someone down.

What are you guys talking about.. fantasyland prison? When bubba hits you in the head with a pipe, the arm bars go out of hte window. Besides, if you'd ever try an arm bar in a prison, you'd prolly be molested twice as hard.

I think you guys are setting up unrealistic scenarios, because you want to be raped. Now.. break that window!
