One'd be wrong. Parliaments considerably predate parliamentary systems.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Ah, didn't know there was a proper delegation. Thanks for clarifying that. In the end you might be good for something.

So to what extent can the House participate in foreign policy? Enlighten me as I don't know much about the US system.

Also, how would further meddling of the House influence US foreign policy in general, and in the ME especially?

No one in the House of Representatives. Pelosi is being an idiot.

As far as I know she really can't go do something like that. As far as I'm concerned, these idiots traveling to rogue nations in an attempt to make themselves more important should be tried for treason and hung on the front of the white house lawn.

New for us. Even then, I'd be suprised to see such delegations going over the objections of the PM when he's not under threat of a no confedince vote.

She has no authority to negotiate anything that's binding. So what good might you see arising.

I was talking to LS for clarifying that at least that "mission" had some delegation status of which I wans't fully aware before. So I was not referring to this situation.

It would be, if it was one.

                  That's true. It's a stupid move.

How is treason defined in the US and what are possible punishments? Is Hanging still used as executing DP?

The most general definition of treason Congress can make is this:

                      Article 3, Section 3:

Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

Presumably the actual legislation mirrors this wording.

So Eyes is talking trash. I suppose public hanging on the White house lawn wouldn't be appropriate punishment either.

Foreign Policy is defined as any action that aims at achieving a certain output within the borders of another country.

So if Nancy goes off to the ME to make peace, it's FP.
