I appreciate the effort that went into such a thing and it appears to have been well executed but frankly I am shocked that anyone would think that this was real. Is it possible that a lot of people that got into it were just playing along for the fun of it?
The reality is I disbelieve pretty much everything on April 1 even things that could be real. But you're right, most people who saw the news thought that it had to be a joke. When I saw the "news" I didn't know it was April 1, but as soon as I saw it I checked the date as this couldn't be real
