Argh! Too many Holidays!!!

I'm already halfway through my holiday entitlement year at work and I still have 27 days left! I can only carry over 5 days, so what should I do?

I'm thinking of going for a nice long holiday to New Zealand next year helped by the 5 day carry over, but that still leaves 22 days to use up in only six months...

That would be a bit of a waste - the problem is that my job is so stress free that it is difficult justifying taking time off in the first place! I've even tried long weekends, but it is so easy to get around where I live that even those only require an extra half day instead of the normal full day I used to need just to even get anywhere in London...

If you would ratehr work, then work and let you extra vacation go to waste

But if you are like the 99% of humanity that has other things that you would like to do , then do that.

22 days is a lot to burn off in 6 months but you could plan a super-long vacation starting 22 work days before the end of your vacation entitlement year


If it were me, and I had no longer plans, I would just take off every Fiiday for the next 22 weeks


The 37 days vacation sounds VERY generous . . but the ability to carry over only 5 days of those SUCKS. WE are allowed to carry over any number up to our annual entitlement. I know my plan is to bank 15 days or so for a monster vacation year

We gert 25 vacation days plus the first and 3rd Friday off each month
