Maybe this evening. I'm going to a party hosted by a bunch of Irish students. They've been drinking since Thursday.

I'm...1/8th or so Irish heritage but consider myself English. But hey, any excuse for a party.
Exult in your existence, because that very process has blundered unwittingly on its own negation. Only a small, local negation, to be sure: only one species, and only a minority of that species; but there lies hope. [...] Stand tall, Bipedal Ape. The shark may outswim you, the cheetah outrun you, the swift outfly you, the capuchin outclimb you, the elephant outpower you, the redwood outlast you. But you have the biggest gifts of all: the gift of understanding the ruthlessly cruel process that gave us all existence [and the] gift of revulsion against its implications.

            drink beer
            get in a fight
            complain about the bloody brits
            blow up my car
            drink beer
            talk like I'm from boston
            read green eggs in ham
pretend to sign like those chicks that come on PBS every other day
            drink beer
            do a riverdance
            eat luck charms and potatoes
            drink beer

              Missing an option:

No - can't be bothered. I don't think it demeans Irish culture, nor do I not drink, however I have way too much work to do to be raising enough glasses to call it St. Patricks Day.

Don't the Irish generally get lit the night before St. Patty's day?

Not especially, Paddy's day is an excuse and not a reason to get drunk.

Went with option three, as it's the closest to what I mean.

Learn to overcome the crass demands of flesh and bone, for they warp the matrix through which we perceive the world. Extend your awareness outward, beyond the self of body, to embrace the self of group and the self of humanity. The goals of the group and the greater race are transcendant, and to embrace them is to acheive enlightenment.

I'd love to, but I have to be at work at 6AM all weekend long.

I voted no because I had no plans.

But I may have plans after all, so I'm considering changing that

Most likely. Going to a Japanese restaurant with the boys tonight. Good food, lots of Asahi super dry, sake and whisky

Didnt know it was St.Patricks today, maybe we'll wind up in some Irish pub to celebrate it afterwards.
