WTF students? Do I have to feed everything to you with a spoon? Can't you understand what I'm saying and write it on your own, without forcing me to write every damn word on the board?!

Can't you read the lectures before the exercise? Can't you focus for merely 50 minutes?!



The head TA told me that at best they'll know and understand much less than I think they do. But I didn't think it's that much less.

Nah, it's been my first teaching hour ever and it's sort of a side job(well, it would've been a side job if I had a main job). So I'm not going to burn out.

I learned my lesson. The next hour should go better.

Eli, no student wants to be in lectures. Hell, I sleep though all my biology lectures. Don't care about it. Do your job teaching and if the students want to learn they'll learn. Or flunk out. One or the other.

Eli, it's gonna get much worse I think. I taught high school, but I think your experience will be similar in that it will be about 4 - 5 months for you to fully comprehend how stupid they are.

Teachers and instructors are generally useless; in highschool especially. Your otherwise pointless lives are given meaning by society's infatuation with edcuation through lecture. The fact is you're not really needed, and simply learning from the text book would be far faster and more efficient.

Eli, you chose the wrong path.. I don't teach, I explain some stuff to other researchers and folks in our unit when we need to cooperate, but when they don't get something, they are too embarrased to let you know so they'll go and read a book and figure it out or never ever bring it up again.

And if I don't get something they say, it's OK, since it's bound to be BS anyway .

Most lecturers are incompetent. A few are spectacular. Luckily my spectacular one is in the same class that has no textbook.

I'm sure that the drawbacks of having lecture classes is far better than the drawbacks of text only classes.

I hate college instructors for the most part. I've been pulled out of classes by security before. Only a select few are really good and are worthy of my time and money. The rest should be fired and forced to find a real job.

Threaten the instructor...at least they have to percieve that. She was an idiot and thought I was threatening her life.
